Gorghi Tondi is a 4th generation Sicilian Women Run Winery on the west coast of Sicily. Tenuta Gorghi Tondi was born from an unbreakable bond with Sicily and a genuine passion for wine. It is a family story steeped in the sea, sun, and pristine nature, passed down with dedication and courage for four generations.
With roots dating back to the early 1900s, Annamaria and Clara Sala’s great-grandparents, members of a historic family of winemakers, purchased their first vineyards in Mazara del Vallo. Here, thanks to a unique microclimate, they found ideal conditions for growing grapes for Marsala, laying the foundations for what has now become the Gorghi Tondi dream. A central figure in this story was Dora, the great-grandmother: a strong, forward-thinking, and innovative woman, an example and inspiration for all the women in the family. From her was born the tradition that Annamaria and Clara continue today with the same determination and love for the land.
